Spacious rooms, good location, nice pool area.
Diners buffet was wonderfull and swimingpool warm. Hotell seems like a castle and it is OK. Only Booking. com not send all what we hope to hotell and there was not aircondesion now ! But only summer! All inclusive was not possible !!!??? Only Booked.net ad it !!!!????However ours points are 9
Booked.net is only sent to all of us wish it to Hotel Rey Carlos etc. Constituents there was no aircondesion only in the summer it is possible !!!??? Hotel room Suite? Suite I think a different appearance than etc. plastic piece suite furnished room! We believe that Booked.net have incorrect information on their sites, at least for this hotel! However, we recommend Hotel Rey Carlos warmly!
We got what we expected, everything was excellent. The room was clean, big and comfortable. The swimming pool was perfect. Location was good, Hotel staff were so friendly. My friend and I would like a special thank to Mr. Pepe Franco, the Hotel member staff for his significant advices.
Unfortunately there was not an internet access in the rooms...
The Rey Carlos is a strangely out of date styled hotel with very large apartments which were kept very clean by the staff. Food in the buffet style restaurant was of a wide choice and reasonable quality. Selections of cold and hot foods and deserts were plentiful. The swimming pool area is large and well laid out with sunbeds, with sufficient for everybody who wanted a bed. The hotel is patronised mainly by elderly German couples but there were many English people there too. Although English was spoken clearly at reception, in the restaurant it was more difficult to communicate with the waiters in English. I would be happy to stay at the Rey Carlos again
convenient, big, good sunlight
old, needs a refresher, insufficient light, coasting along without improvements
The location of the hotel was good and the staff were very friendly
Overall the hotel was okay however the breakfast was below standard for a 4 crown hotel.
The food....TO Much cooked., not tastefull. To little quality. Allmost no fresh fish.
Good location, nice apartments with ancient style furniture, but a well situated balcony, and 2 beautiful swmingpools, surrounded by plenty of clean chairs and green plants. The food was interesting, only the drinks were too expensive. There are lots of bus everywhere. The weather is really fine!
People on the reception shoud be more friendly.
Poor quality and lack of variety in dining room food offering
A very pleasant traditional hotel. Excellent suite, very good facilities. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very convenient to the beach, shops, restaurants, Yumbo Centre. Very quiet and peaceful.
The location, the friendly staff and the size of the room together with the quality of the food.
I hate shower curtains in baths.
Reasonable value for the space provided
Buffet food boring. Room ok, but smelt of drains. Only twin beds when double requested
I stayed here from 6/12/2010 to 19/01/2011, [45 nights]. Standard of food was good. The location was convenient to beach, shopping and entertainment. Maid service very good with frequent changes of towels & bed linens. The room was quiet at night, although on a main road..
There is no wireless internet at this hotel. I had to buy a Vodafone dongle at the cost of 85.00€ for my 45 night stay. There is only one English language tv channel, [bbc World News] and 18 in other languages. Room lighting is poor and furniture layout is impractical. Why does all the seating face away from the tv ?. Who needs a sideboard on vacation unless you bring your Royal Doulton china to display ? What is needed is a desk and computer access, this is the 21st. century ! Drinks prices in the dining room were outrageous, as soon as the waiters realised you were not buying drinks their service was inattentive at best, presumably that's where their tips originate from.
Good location near to dunes, shopping and entertainment centres. Food of a good standard. Rooms quiet at night.
Drinks prices outrageous, even charging for drinks with meals at Christmas and New Year's special dinners.. Attitude of restaurant waiters could be more attentive.THERE Is no wireless internet at this hotel. I had to pay 85€ for a vodafone dongle for my six week stay ! Room furniture amd layout impractical, who needs a sideboard ? a desk would be much more suitable.
The staff are so friendly and helpful. The decor in the hotel is a little dated. However we were moved to a newly decorated room that was very comfortable.
The food menu is also a little dated but none the less edibile
